Ukrainian company TAD (Trans-Auto-D), specializing in the transportation of oversized and super-heavy cargo, has announced its entry into the United States market.
The information was revealed by the company’s owner, Vitaliy Melnyk, on social media and reported by the press.
This project is of particular importance for Ukrainian business, serving as a bright and significant example of international cooperation, emphasize experts and analysts interviewed for this article.
Let’s take a closer look at this case study, examining the available data and prospects.
Entry into the US Market and First Equipment Deliveries
According to Melnyk, as reported by LIGA.net, the company has already begun forming its own fleet in the USA, targeting the oversized cargo transportation segment.
“The first five trucks have already arrived – these are legendary Peterbilts, four- and three-axle tractors in good configuration, designed for oversized loads. Next week, we expect the delivery of the first trailers – RGN and Step deck extendable trailers. All equipment is new, directly from the factories,” stated Melnyk.
It is specified that the delivery of trailers will be the next stage in launching operational activities in the American market and will allow the company to perform the full cycle of specialized transportation.
Own Brand and Export from Ukraine
The first trailers to be used in the USA are manufactured by American companies. However, TAD’s strategic plans include introducing its own brand of trailer equipment to the American market.
“The first trailer in collaboration with an American company is already being manufactured at our plant. The first export will happen soon,” the company owner announced.
This refers to production facilities in the Khmelnytskyi region, which the company is developing with an eye on foreign markets and compliance with international technical standards.
Production Investments and International Strategy
Earlier in 2025, it became known that TAD invested about USD 8 million in expanding its trailer production plant in Volochysk. The investments were aimed at modernizing equipment and increasing production capacity.
Against the backdrop of these investments, experts view the entry into the US market as a consistent step in forming an international presence for the Ukrainian company. For Ukrainian business, this also signals the possibility of scaling production and logistics projects even in conditions of high global competition. This move showcases Ukraine’s emerging potential in the specialized transport sector, offering new partnership avenues for North American firms looking for reliable heavy haulage expertise and equipment.
